All packages are shipped within 24 hours of payment, Monday through Saturday, unless otherwise noted (i.e. custom made sets).
Bead Info TOP
All
lampwork beads are handmade by me using a variety of glasses and are properly kiln annealed to ensure durability and strength. I always use a 1/16th mandrel (this is in reference to the
bead hole) to make them, unless otherwise noted.
Contact Information TOP
If the 'contact me' page on the site doesn't work for you, you can always reach me directly by email.
Return Policy TOP
All orders may be returned within 7 days for a full refund (less shipping) if you are not happy with them.
Custom Orders TOP
Due to time constraints, I don't take custom orders from my gallery pages or from auction sets. If there are any Bead Shoppe sets currently available for ordering, they are clearly marked as "Made to Order' in the set description, along with details on how long it is currently taking for orders to be filled, etc.
If you missed out on a Bead Shoppe set that is NOT currently available for order, you can always email me to inquire about it (though my answer MAY be 'no'). It helps me to know what people want and, you never know, if you catch me when I have any extra time that week I may offer to make you a custom set.
All 'bout *ME*!!! TOP
Well. Not everything about me. :) I started lampworking in 2002, after seeing some beads online and realizing that *actual* people made them. One by one. By 'playing' with glass. Who knew?? I'd never heard about such a thing before. I'd co-managed a couple big-name craft stores and thought I'd done every 'hobby' under the sun. Quilting, cross-stitching, crocheting, painting, knitting, doll making, etc. BEAD-MAKING?? Had to learn THAT!
After a little digging, I found someone who taught beginning classes in lampworking in my area, signed up, and was hooked. It was a verrrrry basic class. Hot head torch only. Learning to do simple rounds and applying glass. Got myself a simple kit to start practicing at home and then began to practice, practice, practice. And practice some more. And then even more. As I am NOT a jewelry designer, I was building up piles of beads every day so, like so many others, I started selling online in the fall of 2002 to deplete my stash a little. Surprising (to me anyway), they sold and hence this whole thing really began. Upgraded to a 'big girl' torch (i.e. my Bobcat) about a year later and really started rocking and rolling then. (Nothing against a Hothead torch, mind you, but that thing is SLOW - as most anyone who has used it will agree with. :))
Here it is four.....no almost FIVE years later and I'm still at it. Wooo. :)
