Next Bead Shoppe update Some new silver core stuff is up as of 5/9

May 9, 2008

Well, I'm now the 'proud' owner of a new cable modem, including new cable connections on the house and the underground/street connections so maybe, just maybe, my internet woes of late are over with. Yay?? :) It's been a rough couple of days. lololol
(Though, just to spite me, the power went out AGAIN last night and clipped the LAST FOUR MINUTES off of Lost while it was TiVoing it. Grrrr. Had to torrent that off the internets this morning  - I WILL NOT BE DENIED my Lost, damn it! A lot of crap can happen on that show in the last four minutes, yanno? lololol)

A few new silver core beads are up in the Shoppe! (If you had another order from earlier in the week and you get a silver cored bead today, I'll refund the extra shipping charge for you too. That offer is only for the next couple days though. :)) I had a super nice pink/goldstone bead finished as well but, LIKE A DUMB ASS, I broke it while admiring it. Sigh. I was like Wow! This one came out nice......*drop*....*bounce*....*bounce*.....*bounce* - on the ceramic tile floor. Man - that sucker BOUNCED like nobody's business! All cracked to shit now, of course. Rock beats glass every time. Grrrr. Couldn't have dropped it in the 80% of the house that has carpeting or wood flooring. Nooooooo. *snort*

New beadies are up!

Don't ask me how long it took and how many times I lost my internet connection to do it. No, really. Don't ask. I'm still smiling though! (Or grimacing. It's a fine line.)

Those cupcakes I linked to the other day? FAN_FRIGGIN_TASTICALLY DELISH! Quite possibly the yummiest thing I've ever baked. And that's saying a lot because, normally, I don't really care for chocolate cake. (Shocking - I know!) They have a graham cracker crust on the bottom, a thin layer of shaved chocolate (which makes another crust), the chocolate cake, more graham cracker/butter mixture and shaved chocolate sprinkled on top and then the frosting. HOLY DELICIOUS OVERKILL! I didn't like the idea of the marshmallow frosting (raw egg whites? uh, no) so I used this peanut butter frosting recipe instead. NOM NOM NOM! Soooooooooooo yummy. (I used organic peanut butter for it though - you're on your own if you use the 'regular' stuff. Organic PB is slicker and has no sugar so it made a sweet but not-too-sweet frosting that had a very rich peanut taste.) He was very, very happy with them. I'm pretty sure he had a good birthday. :)

Someone requested these and they've been a hoot to do. BANANAS!!
